Lyrics
Your eyes were snow,
I let them glow.
My hands were flame,
You spoke my name.
We broke the sky,
We learned to lie.
Your kiss was rain,
It taught me pain.
Black halo, fall on me,
Burn the ghost I used to be.
Call my name inside the rain,
Break my heart alive again.
You left no door,
I loved you more.
You turned to stone,
I slept alone.
The moon went blind,
Inside my mind.
Your voice stayed near,
A knife of fear.
Black halo, fall on me,
Burn the ghost I used to be.
Call my name inside the rain,
Break my heart alive again.
No dawn can rise,
Behind your eyes.
No prayer can stay,
Where you decay.
I wear your scar,
Like one dead star.
It gives me light,
It kills the night.
Black halo, fall on me,
Burn the ghost I used to be.
Call my name inside the rain,
Break my heart alive again.
The idea#
Snow-eyes, flame-hands, a kiss that taught pain: the imagery is gothic without needing a cathedral. Progressive vocal trance wraps the heartbreak in nocturnal euphoria, so “black halo, fall on me” can sound like both curse and invitation.
Burning the ghost you used to be is a hard wish—renewal that still requires the old wound. The voice stays near as a knife of fear; the scar worn like a dead star that somehow still gives light. No dawn behind those eyes, no prayer where the beloved decays: the song does not negotiate a happier ending.
What it offers instead is surviving inside the radiance of damage. Call my name inside the rain; break the heart alive again. Darkness and lift share the same pulse.
