Lyrics
Flow turns, I return,
But the waters never burn the same.
Shadows shift, I discern,
I am not the one I came.
Step by step, I dissolve,
In the current, I evolve.
Fading man, fleeting stream,
Nothing stays, it’s only dream.
No return, no refrain,
Only echoes in the rain.
River moves, I move too,
I am old, and I am new.
Darkened tide, endless spin,
I step out, I step in.
Not the same, not the same,
Both the river and my name.
The idea#
Heraclitus in plain clothes: return to waters that never burn the same, dissolve step by step, “I am old, and I am new.” No refrain that restores identity—only echoes in rain, darkened tide, stepping out and in. Name and river share the same instability.
Dark-uplifting trance can embody that endless spin without resolving it. The comfort, if any, is honesty: nothing stays, including the self that grieves the change. Evolution as drowning done willingly.
