Lyrics
There is a path the wind forgets,
And she walks it.
The mountain does not know her name,
Yet it bears her weight without question.
She is clothed in silence.
No song greets her, no voice warns her.
What is the purpose of ascent,
If all things are brought low?
The grass remembers nothing.
It dances, but it does not rejoice.
It sways, but it does not see.
Under her steps, the world does not break,
It yields—
Like time,
Like memory.
She walks,
And the sky watches
But does not speak.
All things wither.
Even the sun forgets to shine forever.
Even the soul,
If it wanders long enough,
Becomes the wind it chases
The idea#
A woman walks a path the wind forgets; the mountain bears her weight without learning her name. Clothed in silence—no song, no warning. “What is the purpose of ascent, / If all things are brought low?” Grass dances without rejoicing; the world yields underfoot like time, like memory. Dark ambient needs no chorus to make philosophy; chill atmosphere is the argument.
The sky watches and will not speak. All things wither; even the sun forgets forever; the soul, wandering long enough, “becomes the wind it chases.” I hear the Waste Land’s spiritual drought without Eliot’s footnotes—pilgrimage as slow evaporation of self into landscape. Purpose thins until walking is all that remains, and even that is answered only by silence that does not care to comfort.
