They gather like warm weather,
Eyes bright with easy flame.
I float behind the laughter,
Unspoken, without name.

The air is thin with voices,
Too light for me to hold.
I drift beneath their brightness,
A quiet growing cold.

There’s water in the room,
But no one sees the tide.
They speak in open sunlight—
I’m folded up inside.

They speak of skies and stories,
Of places they belong.
Their words are woven music—
But I don’t know the song.

I nod and shape my silence
To match their open air.
But all the while I’m fading,
And no one sees me there.

There’s water in the room,
But no one feels the rise.
I smile like nothing’s breaking
While drowning in disguise.

I don’t reach for rescue,
Don’t cry or leave a trace.
I just become the silence

So let them keep on shining,
